Fronteras students shine in Puerto Rico!
We recently received a letter from a tour coordinator who helped our travel group that visited Puerto Rico in early May 2011. Here is what the coordinator had to say about our students....
Queridos Joseph, Brittany y Sharon,
(en ingles en caso de que lo tengan que compartir)
It was a total pleasure not just for us but for our little island to have your wonderful group around for a few days. I was amazed at the kids' Spanish, discipline, and openness to our culture and food.
I left Saturday night extremely jealous of our guides. I so badly wanted to be your tour director. Very seldom do we get such skilled and kind students as Fronteras' kids. As an immersion teacher for 16 years, I was highly impressed. The only school that can slightly touch your kids' Spanish level was a solid group of eighth graders I took to Puerto Rico on my own about 10 years ago. Even then, my kids couldn't speak in the imperfect tense as yours could.
Once again, thank you for choosing to travel with us. I will send a one-minute online survey soon to all travelers. It will be our pleasure to have you on our island in the near future. GRACIAS!
