Time-Line

1-207th Aviation Battalion

We are an Aviation unit with 8 Black Hawks conducting air assault, transport of troops and equipment, observation and many other missions.12/01/08 & 02/08/08: We departed with 140 soldiers from Alaska heading for Camp Atterbury, Indianna.

01/20-22/09: Arrived in Hohelfels, Germany (the Bovarian section of Germany)

In Germany, a MEDEVAC unit with 3 more Black Hawks from the Maryland Nat'l Guard joined us; about 20 people.  We ALL joined a huge Brigade Task Force(1400 soldiers) from the CA Nat'l Guard making up the Military Police, Infantry, Transportation, and other support units.  We all support the Infantry in their mission to patrol the villiages of Kosovo.  This Battalion will depart for Kosovo in three weeks (around February 12th).
